Arrowsheet
Live at arrowsheet.com
A notepad that copies the whiteboard as fast as the teacher draws it.
- Live on its own domain
- One HTML file
- Built in a week
The story
In class I kept losing the diagrams. Typing has no arrows, the iPad is slow, paper runs out of space. So I built a notepad where the arrow keys draw, typing writes, and four sides make a box that grows as you write in it. One HTML file, no framework, saved in the browser.
Who uses it
Launched September 2026. A button inside the app sends what students want next straight to me, and the first visits and suggestions land in a Discord channel I read daily.
What I did
- The whole thing: grid cursor, line drawing, boxes that adopt and wrap text, pictures, folders, themes, undo.
- A landing page with a live replay of the app as its hero, and the deploy to arrowsheet.com.
What’s new
- Select words inside a label to colour or bold them; lines leaving a box follow it when it moves; name an area as a section and, zoomed out, the names read like a map.
- Folders for sheets, a suggestion form that posts to Discord, and the site live at arrowsheet.com.
- Pictures: paste, drop, copy, resize, and they enter the box they land in. Colours, highlights, six typefaces, light and dark.
- A rectangle drawn with the arrows becomes a box; text in a box owns its rows border to border.
